About Me

My name is Colin Lapthorn. I am passionate about recruitment.

My mission is to assist employers in attracting and engaging candidates whose skills and aspirations ideally fit the culture and goals of the business.

My passion for recruitment has led to me becoming a leading expert advisor to the hiring community and I regularly provide coaching on interviewing and screening skills to ensure that employers hire outstanding long-term colleagues.

I have worked in the recruitment industry for over 13 years and own my own company,  Osirian Consulting, which specialises in IT, high level engineering and other senior niche sectors.

I am also a partner in EquityLinked, a business formed in 2007 to specialise in the investment banking sector, which has continued to thrive despite a challenging economy. Following that success, I have developed a new partnership with Big Project Consulting, launched in January 2010 to specialise in Planning and Project Controls in the engineering sector.

Prior to setting up my own business I enjoyed a very successful career at Alexander Mann, where I directed the ERP strategies and divisions. During my time there I achieved £1m margin billing per annum, the highest revenue producer in the business at the time.
